Short biography
Elizabeth Alexandra Maria is the Queen of the United Kingdom.
She was born on 21 April 1926 at the residence of the Earl of Strathmore in the Mayfair district of London on Brewton Street.
The Queen died at the age of 96 on 8 September 2022.
Elizabeth II ascended the throne in 1952 at the age of 26.
The queen has four children:
Charles, Prince of Wales.
Princess Anne
Prince Andrew, Duke of York
Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex
She also has eight grandchildren of various ages.
After the Queen's death, Prince Charles became the new ruler. He will be King Charles III of England, and his wife Camilla Parker-Bowles will be called Queen.
