"This is just the beginning": Fury's promoter reacts to Usyk's deprivation of the title of absolute champion

British promoter Frank Warren expressed confidence that depriving Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) of the title of absolute world champion would benefit boxing. The representative of Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) noted that this will allow him to have many good fights and then reassemble four belts into one.

Warren said this in an interview with Sky Sports. According to the Briton, in the fight against his client, Usyk made boxing history, but this is only the beginning of new great events in the sport. He added that he is looking forward to what will happen in the future.

"Usyk did what no one else has done. He unified the four belts. Four belts at stake is just the beginning. I am absolutely sure that after this, this collection will fall apart. But then they will be put back together again. We are in such a good position in terms of sports. There are so many good things happening that you just can't imagine how it's going to end because there are so many good fights to come," Warren said.

Usyk will be deprived of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) belt, which will be fought for by Filip Hrgovic (17-0, 14 KOs) and Daniel Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs) on June 1.
