Borshch is a traditional Ukrainian first course served with sour cream and garlic pampushkas. It is this combination that makes the dish perfect and authentic. That's why it's important to have a recipe not only for borscht, but also for delicious additions to it.
A food blogger with the nickname katia cooking knows exactly how to make pampushkas for borscht. On Instagram, she presented the most perfect baking recipe that will make any borsch perfect.
Ingredients for the dough
- Flour - 450-500 gr
- Milk - 250 ml
- Salt - a pinch
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Dry yeast - 10 g
- Oil - 50 ml
Ingredients for the dressing
- Oil - 100 ml
- Greens - a bunch
- Salt - ½ tsp
- Pepper
- Garlic - 3-4 cloves
The method of preparation
1. Sift the flour into a deep bowl, add the yeast, sugar and salt. Mix well.
2. Add warm milk and vegetable oil, mix with a spatula at first, and then knead with your hands for 5-7 minutes.
3. Cover with a towel and place in a warm place for 30 minutes.
4. For the dressing, pass the garlic through a press.
5. Combine the oil, salt, pepper and herbs. Mix thoroughly.
6. Form the pampushkas and place them on a baking sheet covered with parchment and greased with oil.
7. Cover with a towel and leave for 10 minutes.
8. Bake in a preheated 180 degree oven for 15-20 minutes.
9. Take it out, cover with a towel for about 5 minutes, then break it up and pour the dressing over it.
