The first lady recommends: 5 fall looks of Zelenska that you will want to repeat
The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska has an elegant and sophisticated taste, so her style is an inspiration for many Ukrainian women. The images of the Ukrainian president's wife are restrained and strict, but at the same time trendy and always have some zest or hidden meaning, such as a symbolic brooch in the form of a rooster jug from Borodyanka or a unique cut of a jacket. This fall, Olena managed to demonstrate more than one exquisite outfit that Ukrainian fashionistas should definitely adopt.
OBOZ.UA decided to show five of the most interesting images of the first lady in September and October 2023. Perhaps they will inspire someone to update their fall wardrobe. Importantly, the wife of the guarantor wears exclusively Ukrainian brands, thus popularizing the domestic fashion industry abroad.
Gray three-piece suit with a symbolic brooch
This year, women's three-piece suits have become one of the hottest trends. In the warm season, beauties wore only a vest, successfully combining it not only with trousers but also with skirts or jeans. With the onset of cold weather, the image became complete by adding a jacket. As for Zelenskaya, she showed off this stylish look at a meeting with the First Lady of the United States, Jill Biden, at the 78th session of the UN General Assembly. She complemented the trendy look with an iconic cockerel brooch from the Ukrainian brand Gunia Project.
Original suit from the "Mriya" collection
Olena Zelenska arrived in New York on September 19 in this restrained but rather original suit from the Ukrainian brand Bobkova. The coffee-colored outfit was first presented this winter during Berlin Fashion Week. It became part of a collection called "Dream". According to the designer Khrystyna Bobkova herself, this is an image for a modern Ukrainian woman who is facing an unprecedented tragedy but has to continue her everyday life. Of course, the outfit draws special attention to the interesting style of the jacket. The emphasis on the waist due to the massive belt and the voluminous unusual pockets successfully emphasize the figure.
Poltava embroidered shirt with classic trousers
The First Lady of Ukraine has dozens of incredibly beautiful embroidered shirts in her wardrobe, which she wears to celebrations and important foreign visits. Zelenska wore this Poltava shirt, made by the well-known domestic brand Etnodim and the National Center for Folk Culture "Ivan Honchar Museum," to speak to students at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. The uniqueness of the luxurious traditional outfit is that it was created on the basis of fragments of embroidered shirts that cannot be restored. They date back to the 18th and 19th centuries and are kept in the Potter's Museum. The embroidered shirt has ribbons down the back that can be tied into an elegant bow, and the ornaments are embroidered "white on white," which makes the overall look extremely delicate. And in combination with black classic trousers, the embroidered shirt also looks very stylish. Ivan Franko proved this in his time.
Structured jacket with an unusual cut and wide trousers
And for her September trip to Canada, Zelenska chose a sand-colored suit by the famous Ukrainian designer Elvira Hasanova. The fitted structured jacket with an original cut was harmoniously combined with oversized trousers. The look was complemented by a golden brooch in the form of a flower called "Wormwood, Evshan-Zillia". This piece of jewelry was created for the First Lady by the world-famous Ukrainian designer Ruslan Baginsky.
Blouse with a draped collar and beautiful sleeves
If you're a little bored with jacketed looks, then pay attention to the outfit Olena Zelenska wore when she received the Clinton Global Citizen Award from the Clintons. The attention is immediately drawn to the luxurious white blouse from the Ukrainian brand A.M.G. with a draped collar and bishop sleeves. She paired it with black palazzo pants from the brand Six and a black leather belt.
As OBOZ.UA wrote, earlier Olena Zelenska visited the Kyiv Regional Children's Hospital and the Superheroes School that operates there. For her visit, she chose a navy blue pantsuit and the most comfortable shoes of the century - loafers. See our article for the most fashionable ways to wear them.
