The unified world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) received a letter from one of the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The British journalists handed the message to the boxer on the eve of his rematch with Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs), which touched our compatriot very much.

The talkSPORT portal, citing Mail Sport, published the text of the letter. In it, the defender of our country with the call sign "Shket" noted that Usyk is an incredible inspiration to the fighters on the front line. He also wished the boxer victory in the second fight against Fury.

"Dear Oleksandr. My name is also Oleksandr, call sign 'Shket'. I am a fighter of the tactical special forces unit "Hrom" of the 41st separate brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. My comrades and I watch all your battles whenever possible and cheer for you with all our hearts.

We are proud that the glory of Ukrainian boxing is now so loud. It has always been important, and now every victory of Ukraine is priceless. We know what hard work is and what every victory is worth, whether in the ring or the steppes of Donbas.

My comrades and I defended Kyiv, then fought near Bakhmut and liberated Kherson. You inspire us, and we will be worthy of Ukrainian glory and all those who work for it.

I hope you will feel our support even though you are so far away. All our efforts will lead to the main thing – our common victory! We are rooting for you. We wish you victory and success. This time we will be rooting for you again. We keep our fingers crossed for you, pray for you, and wish you success! Together to victory!" the message reads.
