The coaches of the famous Ukrainian high jumpers Iryna Gerashchenko and Yaroslava Maguchikh became the main characters in a short video that appeared on Instagram sporthub.media. The clip shows how worried Iryna Pustovoit and Tetiana Stepanova are about their athletes.
The footage was shot at the Olympic Games in Paris, during the athletes' performances at the Stade de France.
"Strong women and wise mentors behind the success of our champions," reads the video's caption.
On August 4, Maguchikh won a gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in the high jump. The 22-year-old from Dnipro took first place with a result of 2.00 meters.
Another Ukrainian, Iryna Gerashchenko, came in third (195 cm), winning bronze together with Eleanor Patterson (Australia). Mykhailo Kokhan also took third place in the hammer throw tournament.
