Syvokho's wife tearfully talked about his love for Ukraine: he dreamt of Donbas returning
Find all of the mistakes and send a corrected text: The wife of Ukrainian showman and politician Serhii Syvokho, Tetiana, spoke at the farewell to the actor and addressed Ukrainians. Amid criticism of the star for his scandalous statements, she emphasized the clear pro-Ukrainian position of her late husband.
According to her, Syvokho helped Ukrainian hospitals and doctors who saved the military while his heart was beating. OBOZ.UA learned about this directly at the scene of the events at the Zhovtnevyi Palace (to see photos and videos, scroll to the bottom of the page).
"He loved his country very much. How much he did during the war, how much he helped hospitals, how he helped military doctors and refugees. Even though he was chronically ill, he did everything for Ukraine. He loved Ukraine very much, he spoke two languages fluently," began Tetiana Syvokho.
With a tremor in her voice, she continued to say that her husband wanted to see the liberation of his native Donbas from the occupiers with his own eyes.
"He loved Donbas, his homeland. And Ukraine, his homeland, too. Until the end, he cherished the hope that Donbas would return to us, and we would unite and be all together. I hope that everyone he helped in his life will remember him as a philanthropist, as a defender of his homeland, as a man who did everything he could while his heart was still beating," the grieving star's beloved concluded.
