The president of the Kyiv club gave a frank interview

Commenting on his team's victory over Metalist 1925 in the Ukrainian Premier League, Dynamo president Ihor Surkis admitted that with the departure of Mircea Lucescu, Kyiv players have gained more freedom. The Romanian specialist announced his resignation on November 3 at a press conference after the defeat of Shakhtar Donetsk in the 13th round of the Ukrainian Premier League.

Ihor does not doubt that Dynamo's game has changed since Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's arrival.

"The game has changed. The players are in a very good mood. They are, as they say, relaxed. Lucescu was such a totalitarian coach, he was very strict. There will be a winter break, so let's wait to see what happens next," Surkis said in an interview with Dynamomania.

It should be noted that Lucescu took over Dynamo in the summer of 2020. Under his leadership, the team once won the Ukrainian championship and cup.

Oleksandr Shovkovskyi has been appointed acting head coach of Dynamo Kyiv.

Dynamo Kyiv, led by Shovkovsky, has already won three victories in the UPL. On December 7, the White and Blues defeated Metalist 1925 at home. The match at the Lobanovskyi Stadium ended with a score of 4:2.

Kharkiv scored one of their goals into an empty net from 16 meters.
