Surkis chooses new Dynamo leader after Lucescu: media found out his name

The President of the White and Blues will present the new coaching staff on November 4-5

Dynamo Kyiv will be led by Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, journalist Mykhailo Spivakovskyi is sure. According to the TaToTaku YouTube channel, the president of the Kyiv team, Ihor Surkis, will present the new coaching staff on November 4-5.

Surkis has no alternative candidates to replace Lucescu with whom he could sign a long-term contract. He will be looking for them.

At the same time, Spivakovskyi predicts that if Shovkovskyi plays well in the fall matches, it will be a very strong candidate to sign a seasonal contract with.

Also, according to the journalist, Gonzalo Garcia-Garcia, who was supposed to take over Dnipro-1 at the end of August but refused to move to Ukraine at the last minute, was considered for the position of the new head coach.

According to Spivakovskyi, what happened at the press conference after the match with Shakhtar was solely the initiative of Lucescu himself.

"In the morning, it was understood that this match would be decisive for him and an exceptionally positive result could extend Mircea Lucescu's tenure as Dynamo coach. Lucescu played proactively because he did not want to be fired from his previous job. And this would definitely happen after the defeat. There is no compensation from Dynamo," the TaToTake host said.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, Surkis confirmed that Lucescu's resignation came as a surprise to him.
