Serhiy Syvokho died
This morning, on October 17, at 5:40 a.m., Ukrainian TV presenter, former KVN contestant and former National Security and Defense Council Secretary Serhiy Syvokho died. The cause was a chronic lung disease. He was 54 years old.
OBOZREVATEL learned this from the artist's press service. Earlier, Russian media spread rumors about the death of the Ukrainian.
The death occurred in Germany, not in occupied Donetsk, as the propagandists lied about.
The information was also confirmed by Syvokho's friend Svetlana Berdetskaya on Facebook.
"Every day is very difficult now, but today I feel especially bad. Today at 5:40 am, my good friend, a person I tenderly loved, a great friend of Israel, a wonderful artist, Serhiy Anatolyevich Syvokho, died. I will miss you very much. Eternal memory to Serhiy," the post reads.
Shortly before his death, it became known that Serhiy Syvokho had become ill and was in serious condition. At midnight, TV presenter Oleksiy Sukhanov expressed his condolences over the loss of the comedian on Instagram.
After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Serhiy Syvokho suspended his media activities and disappeared from the view of his fans and the media. His pages contained only congratulations on religious holidays and reports on his volunteer activities.
The artist became famous for his performance for the Dream Team. After KVN, he started acting in movies. In the 2000s, he hosted the entertainment program Hidden Camera on 1+1 TV channel. From 2011 to 2013, he was a creative producer of the program Big Difference in Ukrainian. Later, he became a producer at Kvartal 95 and accepted an offer to coach the first season of The League of Laughter.
In 2019, Syvokho ran for the Verkhovna Rada from the Servant of the People party. From 2019 to 2020, he was an adviser to the NSDC Secretary on the reintegration of the occupied territories.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that the heart of the soloist of the National Opera, People's Artist of Ukraine and conservatory professor Oleksandr Vostriakov stopped at the age of 80. The outstanding singer died due to a serious illness.
