"Sending money to Ukraine..." Valuev issued a cynical statement about "robbing citizens" in Europe

Former world heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev made an incredibly hypocritical statement about what is happening in Europe. The State Duma deputy, commenting on the scandal with the spoiled medals of the 2024 Olympics, blamed the West for supporting Ukraine in the war with Russia.

Valuev said this in an interview with Sport24. The accomplice of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime and an ardent fan of the destruction of Ukrainians called the situation a consequence of theft in France and Europe, forgetting that corruption is rampant in his country, and the state has even created a doping system to cheat rivals.

"We look for symbolism everywhere. Of course, it is there. However, in this case, there is a banal theft, as it was the case with many things that happened at the Summer Olympics in Paris. The organization and construction of the facilities also suffered from this age-old human disease. Today, Europe, by sending money to Ukraine, is directly robbing its citizens, depriving them of social security and other benefits of civilization. What did you expect from the Olympics?" said Valuev.

Over the weekend, some Olympic medalists complained that their medals became unusable just a few months after the competition. The Paris 2024 Organizing Committee has already promised to replace more than 100 awards with new ones. In addition, three directors of production and quality at the Paris Mint have already been fired.
