The meeting was originally scheduled to take place on March 8 on the undercard of the fight between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou
"Madrimov has been disqualified due to problems with a pre-fight medical examination conducted by the British Boxing Board of Control, which regulates the event," wrote a reputable insider, Dan Raphael, on social network X (formerly Twitter).
Two more championship fights will take place on this evening of boxing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - Zhilei Zhang and Joseph Parker will fight for the WBO interim super heavyweight title, and Ray Vargas and Nick Ball will compete for the WBC featherweight belt.
Boxing Night will be available in Ukraine thanks to the DAZN platform. The cost of the show will be 370 UAH for a subscription. The event will also be broadcast by British TV channels TNT Sports and Sky Sports.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, Anthony Joshua expressed his desire to replace Tyson Fury in a fight against Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) in case of injury to the British.
