Russia seized Ukrainian mineral resources worth trillions of dollars, but Ukraine remains the world's largest producer of titanium and uranium, – Zelenskyy

Russia has seized trillions of dollars worth of minerals and rare earth metals in the occupied territories. At the same time, Ukraine still ranks first in terms of uranium and titanium deposits.

This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with Reuters. Russia can supply the seized Ukrainian resources to its partners, including North Korea and Iran.

"All this will work later. All this is in weapons, missiles, drones. All of this will work not only against Ukraine, against the United States, against Europe, against other countries of the world. That's why I told him: this is a rich land. We have minerals. This does not mean that we are giving it away. We are talking about partnerships. Invest money, and let's develop together. The main thing is the security of the Western world," Zelenskyy commented on Trump's proposal to invest in the development of mineral resources in Ukraine.

The president noted that the peace plan provided for US investment in Ukrainian minerals and rare earth metals. At the same time, Russia has already managed to seize trillions of dollars worth of minerals.

"They have seized the coal heart of Ukraine. What happened? We had to, there is a brand of coal called anthracite and we don't have it anywhere else. We had to switch our entire generation, which used this type of coal, to another one. And what did they do? They gave this anthracite to Transnistria," Zelenskyy said.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Donald Trump has already threatened the European Union with a trade duty. The new American administration is ready to start a trade war with the EU if Europe does not buy more oil and gas from the United States.

According to Zelenskyy, Trump's intentions are quite logical, since imports of Russian energy resources to Europe, which contradicts US security guarantees, are still taking place.
