Olena Zelenska charmed with bright vyshyvanka at an exhibition dedicated to Crimea and women

On February 26, the tenth anniversary of the resistance to the occupation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska attended the opening of the exhibition "Saxifrage. Women's Resistance in Crimea". She talks about the female face of this struggle for freedom and themselves. The wife of the Ukrainian guarantor appeared at the important event in a charming embroidered shirt (vyshyvanka) with colorful ornaments.

Zelenska shared the photos on her Telegram channel. Recently, the first lady has been favoring dark, restrained looks, so her appearance in a light, colorful shirt surprised many people and at the same time became a ray of hope.

As you know, all the outfits of the wife of the President of Ukraine are not randomly chosen suits or dresses, but eloquent images that convey not only Zelenska's mood but also the state of all Ukrainians.

At the exhibition, Olena Zelenska first appeared in a black classic suit, consisting of trendy high-waisted palace pants with a wide belt and a collarless jacket decorated with a gold brooch.

Later, Zelenska took off her jacket, so everyone could see that underneath was a white vyshyvanka with embroidery in pastel green, blue, purple, gold, brown, and pink.

So if we talk about the meanings of the first lady's images, it seems extremely symbolic that she eventually took off her black jacket and stayed in a light, colorful vyshyvanka.

Zelenskaya herself had a light, fresh look, which was successfully complemented by a side parting with straight hair, peach-toned makeup and neat gold earrings.

In a post about the exhibition, Zelenska noted: "It's important to mention the exhibition's non-random title. Saxifrage is a flower glorified by Lesya Ukrainka. She saw this plant in her favorite Crimea, on Ai-Petri, and immortalized it with a line: "It broke through the stone, the stone that conquered everything." I think this story has an extraordinary symbolism. Because Lesia was such a flower. Later, she was even called the saxifrage of Ukrainian culture because she developed progressive social ideas and was a fighter. Each of the women featured in the exhibition today is such a flower. Each of the women is not only of the Crimean resistance, but of the all-Ukrainian resistance. And each of these flowers is able to grow through the stone of any terror. I believe in it."

As OBOZ.UA wrote, earlier Olena Zelenska welcomed her colleague, the first gentleman of Denmark, Bo Tengberg, the husband of the current Danish president, Mette Frederiksen, to Kyiv. For the meeting, the wife of the Ukrainian guarantor once again chose a symbolic piece of jewelry. This time it was a rare vintage brooch in the form of a flower bud in the colors of the Ukrainian flag.
