"Oh, my God!" Usyk named the most dangerous opponent in his career
Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) called British boxer Dereck Chisora (35-13, 23 KOs) the most difficult opponent in his career. According to the Ukrainian, it was the boxer from London who dealt him the hardest blows when the rivals met in the ring in October 2020.
Usyk said this in an interview with the 3 Knockdown Rule YouTube channel, secondsout.com reports. Our compatriot emphasized that he respects all his opponents, but singled out Chisora because he felt in danger in the fight against him.
"Look, I respect Tyson Fury. He's a great fighter, a good person, but he's my opponent. He's a very tough guy and very smart... Yes, the fight with him was the hardest. His punch? I think, no, not the strongest. I'll say Dereck Chisora. He's a very tough guy. His right hand, his left hand is something I would like to hide from in a block. During the fight with him, I was saying to myself: "Oh my God, this is dangerous! Move, Sania!" Usyk shared his emotions.
We'd like to remind you that Oleksandr defeated Derek by unanimous decision in his second fight in the super heavyweight division.
Earlier, Usyk decided on his next opponent in the professional ring and the weight category where he will fight. At the same time, he received a sensational offer to hold a championship fight in Ukraine in a new division.
