Mike Tyson made a prediction for the Usyk – Fury rematch
Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson believes that the rematch between WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles holder Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) will end in defeat for the Ukrainian. According to the legendary American, the Briton underestimated his opponent in the first fight.
"Usyk surprised everyone [in the first fight]. I think Tyson Fury was flirting too much, he needs to take the fight seriously. I hope the result will be different this time," Iron Mike said on the talkSPORT Boxing YouTube channel.
As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (43-4-1, 42 KOs) expressed confidence that Oleksandr would be stronger than Tyson again. According to the American boxer, our compatriot was deprived of an early victory in the first fight of the rivals.
Earlier it became known that Fury wanted to organize a trilogy with Usyk to make boxing history. In addition, the British fighter accused the Ukrainian of disrupting the timing of the rematch.
On October 23, Usyk and Fury had their first duel of looks before the second fight.
In the first fight, Oleksandr defeated Tyson by split decision 114:113, 113:114, 115:112 and became the absolute world heavyweight champion.
