Lemon-poppy seed cookies: the simplest recipe that even beginners can handle
Biscuits are a type of pastry that tastes perfect with coffee or tea. Each person has a particular type of cookie that they like best. Some are liked by absolutely everyone and without question.
Chef Kateryna Peskova shared a recipe for just such cookies on Instagram. She explained how to make lemon-poppy seed cookies. It turned out that it's not difficult at all, and even a beginner can handle it.

Ingredients
- Sugar – 200 gr
- Lemon zest – 1 pc
- Butter – 110 gr
- Egg – 1 pc
- Flour – 210 g
- Baking powder – ½ tsp
- Soda – ½ tsp
- Salt – ½ tsp
- Poppy seeds – 30 g
Ingredients for the cream
- Cream cheese – 150 g
- Cream from 30% – 70 ml
- Powdered sugar – 40 g
Method of preparation
1. Grind sugar with lemon zest.
2. Add sugar with lemon zest and egg to the soft butter.
Prepare the dough.

3. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and poppy seeds separately. Add to the dough.
4. Form the dough into balls of 40 grams each.

5. Bake for 7-10 minutes at 170°.
6. To make the cream, mix all the ingredients and beat until stable peaks form.
Garnish with lemon.

7. Decorate the cookies with cream, lemon halves, and poppy seeds.
