The match took place at the legendary Wembley Stadium in London

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) sensationally lost to his compatriot Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs). The fight for the International Boxing Federation (IBF) heavyweight title, which Dubois holds and  which previously belonged to Oleksandr Usyk, ended in a knockout in the fifth round.

The first round began in a kind of reconnaissance, where Dubois took the center of the ring. From the very first seconds, Daniel decided to work as the number one, actively working with his jab. Towards the end of the round, Dubois' swinging right landed right on the chin of the favorite, knocking him out. Anthony was saved by the bell.

In the second three minutes, Joshua's beating continued. He went into a blind defense, leaning on the ropes. The champion tried to catch his opponent's chin with a hook again.

By the third round, Anthony still hadn't figured out what to do with his opponent's attack. Daniel was dominating, breaking through his compatriot's defense at a leisurely pace. A few seconds before the bell, Joshua was knocked down for the second time.

This time, the boxer's chin was hit by a left hook. Dubois rushed to finish him off but didn't have time to do so before the end of the three minutes.

The denouement almost came in the fourth round. It was largely an one-sided fight, where Joshua was just trying to survive, missing furious attacks every time. Getting carried away with the attack, Daniel missed a nasty left straight that shook him a bit.

As reported, both Joshua and Dubois lost to Oleksandr Usyk at different times.

The first Joshua-Usyk fight on September 26, 2021, ended with Oleksandr's victory by unanimous decision. A year later the Ukrainian world champion according to the World Boxing Organization (WBO), World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Federation (IBF) defended his titles in a rematch with Anthony.

A year later, Usyk defeated Dubois despite the British heavyweight's nasty kick between his legs.
