Jennifer Lopez joins the "dirty denim" trend of the 90s, showing off popular jeans
Famous singer and actress Jennifer Lopez went for a walk in New York City wearing "dirty jeans" and a gorgeous blue ensemble. She joined the controversial Y2K trend that was popular in the late 90s and early 2000s.
According to Harper's Bazaar, the wide, light-colored pants had sand-colored "spots" along the artist's knees, which gave the impression that she had stained them before going out. In recent seasons, one could see extreme versions of this trend, such as Balenciaga's "super worn" baggy pants from the Summer '23 collection or a similar model by Diesel.
This extraordinary touch added a fascinating contrast to the star's outfit. It seemed that Lopez was trying to recreate the street style of the 90s, and it completely changed the ensemble, which could otherwise be classified as "quiet luxury".
For the rest of her look, the celebrity chose a tight blue turtleneck and a dark coat. As for the accessories, Lopez kept the palette the same, adding sky-blue heels and a quilted mini bag from Chanel. The singer wore a pair of thick gold hoop earrings and gold rings, completing the outfit with a bright red shade of lipstick and manicure.
