One of them is just now at the peak, writes the publication In Style. Some people call them ugly jeans, while stylists have nicknamed them barrel ones.
This model is characterized by a high and relatively tight fit at the waist and wide pants that can stay straight down or can taper slightly. They create a baggy silhouette, do not make people shorter, and with a properly chosen outfit can even visually lengthen legs.
A master class on how to wear barrel jeans was given by fans of this cut - Jessica Alba and Jennifer Lopez. Both stars took the risk of combining these pants with oversize, but also demonstrated how to do it correctly so as not to turn into a shapeless pile of textiles.

Thus, Alba opted for a white oversized summer jacket. But she didn't button it, showing a narrow bodysuit with vertical seams underneath. The look was both relaxed and businesslike, calm and sexy.
Lopez, who is a longtime fan of wide jeans of all types, complemented her elongated ultra-wide barrel jeans with a cashmere oversized sweater with a dropped shoulder and high neck. It's a very risky combination that, when styled incorrectly, both distorts the figure and eats up height. However, J.Lo found techniques that turned a potential disaster into a spectacular look. First, the singer tucked her sweater into her jeans, thus emphasizing her waistline. Secondly, she tied her hair in a high bun and thus lengthened the whole silhouette. And although not everyone appreciated her image, she looked spectacular and relaxed.
