"It's not going to happen". Fury's promoter makes an official statement about the fight with Usyk

Frank Warren, the promoter of WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs), has officially ruled out the widely publicized December date of his client's fight with WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titlist Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs). Warren believes that 2 months will not be enough time for recovery.
"No, we're not going to do that [to hold the fight on December 23 - Ed. It was a hard, hard fight [against Ngannou - Ed.] Fury will need time to recover his body. And then he'll go back to camp and have only five or six weeks of training. So the fight in 2023 will not take place," Warren said in an interview with Boxing King Media.
The binding contracts for the fight between the two champions are still in place, with updated terms expected in the coming weeks.
"Tyson did what he always does in the fight with Ngannou. He walked away with a victory, and now we're looking to the future. We know that the Usyk fight has been scheduled and hopefully a date will be set soon as soon as Tyson feels he's ready to move on. It was a tougher fight than Chisora and a tougher fight than Dillian Whyte, that's a fact," the promoter said.
Warren praised Ngannou's performance and said it was never a formality.
"It was a great event and a very exciting fight. It didn't turn out the way I expected, but it was great. Francis fought very well, he's a strong and tough guy, and all those people who thought it was going to be a formality, they were wrong. "I said before the fight that he had everything to win and nothing to lose. Today he won a lot," Warren summarized.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, a 10-round boxing match in Saudi Arabia between Fury and Ngannou ended in a split decision in favor of the British champion: 94:95, 96:93, 95:94.
After the winner was announced, WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) joined Tyson in the ring. The Ukrainian and the Briton had a duel of views, after which they spoke about the upcoming mega-fight for all the division titles.
Later, a video appeared showing how the audience at the arena in Saudi Arabia reacted to Usyk as if he were Cristiano Ronaldo. Highlights of the fight and the referee's notes also appeared.
It should be noted that Usyk was shocked by the course of the fight between WBC champion Tyson Fury and former UFC fighter Francis Ngannou. In the 3rd round, the broadcast cameras showed the reaction of our compatriot.
