"It's going to take a long time": Joshua's promoter slams fans over Usyk-Fury fight
British Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) will defeat Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) and become the absolute world heavyweight champion. However, the fight, which is scheduled to take place on December 23 in Saudi Arabia, will not delight fans with particularly spectacular boxing.
Promoter Eddie Hearn expressed his confidence in this in an interview with the YouTube channel Mo' Boxing, No Problem. The representative of the former two-time world champion Anthony Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs) said he was looking forward to the battle between Usyk and Fury, which will undoubtedly go down in history.
"I believe that the fight is probably agreed upon and will take place. I think Tyson Fury will win the fight. I think it will be a very difficult fight for them. I don't think it will be the biggest fight you've ever seen. But I think it will be exciting. Tyson Fury is very good. I think he's going to mess with Usyk for a long time, but he's going to find a way to win," Hearn said.
Earlier, Usyk's promoter Oleksandr Krasiuk named the condition under which the fight with Fury could be canceled. Before that, Tyson made a haughty statement about fighting Alexander. The Ukrainian himself answered the question of how he intends to beat the Briton in an ironic style. And Usyk's ex-trainer Serhiy Vatamanyuk urged to take the Gypsy King seriously.
The media found out that the fight will take place before the New Year or in January. Recently, the legendary Mike Tyson announced his forecast for the superfight of the year. The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has demanded that Usyk and Fury fight.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) reacted to the organization of the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury by naming a contender for the winner's title. And former world champion Andy Ruiz named the main problem of the Ukrainian's British rival.
