Unified light heavyweight champion Dmytro Bivol (22-0, 11 KOs) admitted that it was no surprise to him that Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) defeated Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) in a fight on May 18. According to the 33-year-old Russian, after this triumph, the Ukrainian confirmed his place in the list of the best boxers of our time.

Bivol, who will fight Libyan Malik Zinad (22-0, 16 KOs) on June 1, said this in an interview with Boxing King Media's YouTube channel. The Russian boxer added that he has not yet watched the full fight between Usyk and Fury, but he will do so immediately after his fight.

"I didn't watch the whole fight because I didn't want to waste energy before my fight. But, of course, I will watch it in a couple of weeks. I expected Usyk to win, and he did. It didn't come as a surprise to me. Usyk is one of the top 3 best boxers regardless of weight class," said Bivol.

It should be noted that on June 1, the fight for the title of absolute world light heavyweight champion between Bivol and Artur Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs) was supposed to take place, but the latter withdrew due to injury, and Dmitry got a new opponent.

The organizers of boxing nights in Saudi Arabia announced the date of the Usyk-Fury rematch. It is not yet known whether all the belts will be on the line. It was planned that Usyk would be stripped of his International Boxing Federation (IBF) title, but three reasons were given why it is beneficial for promoters and organizations to keep all the belts for the Ukrainian. At the same time, our boxer's team will appeal to the IBF to make an exception for mandatory defense.

Former boxer David Haye predicted that there would be no rematch between the Ukrainian and Fury. His compatriot Dereck Chisora started rumors that Oleksandr would return to the heavyweight division.
