Joshua's promoter gave a frank interview
The promoter of former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs), Eddie Hearn, believes that it is his client who should fight WBC titleholder Tyson Fury (34 KOs). According to Hearn, if WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) loses, Tyson should fight Anthony for a rematch.
"I never thought I'd be able to admit that I'm not the strongest man in boxing, but now everything is run by Turki Al Al-Sheikh, His Excellency, who has an incredible vision for boxing. His passion for this sport is just incredible, and all he wants is the biggest fight. Fury is fighting Usyk. They have a two-fight contract, and if Tyson Fury beats Usyk in this first fight, the whole world will say: 'Please don't make the second fight,'" Hearn said in an interview with Piers Morgan.
We would like to remind you that initially the Usyk-Fury fight was scheduled for February 17, but Fury suffered a serious cut on February 2 during training. As a result, the fight was officially postponed to the spring of 2024.
Turki Al al-Sheikh, head of Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Entertainment, said the May 18 show will go ahead anyway. The organizer of the boxing night in Riyadh has come up with a rule that will prevent the fight from being disrupted again.
In addition, Al Al-Sheikh noted that Usyk or Tyson would face a $10 million fine if either of them refused to perform.
It is worth noting that recently the famous British heavyweight Dereck Chisora (34-14, 23 KOs) expressed confidence that the Ukrainian will win this fight, using a very specific tactic.

At the same time, the organization confirmed that it had authorized two fights between the British and Ukrainian for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion.
