"He used dirty tricks": Croatian heavyweight reveals the truth about Fury's autopsy
Agron Smakichi injured Tyson Fury

The owner of the World Boxing Council (WBC) belt, Tyson Fury, provoked the situation with his injury himself while preparing for the fight against Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs). The Gypsy King, as the Briton is called, constantly provoked his sparring partner and used dirty tricks during the training fight.

Croatian heavyweight Agron Smakici (20-2, 18 KOs), who inflicted the autopsy on Tyson, told talkSport in an interview. According to him, Fury grabbed him by the head during the sparring and delivered prohibited blows to the back of the head. The punch that caused the cut was accidental.

"Nothing special happened. Tyson just had a blast with his bad talk and dirty punches. When I put my head down, he used dirty moves, which caused a lot of tension. And then I gave it 100 percent, and unfortunately, the injury happened... I am 100% sure that my first punch caused the injury. Also, after the dissection, he didn't say it was an elbow or anything like that. Maybe it was just a passing shot, but it wasn't intentional," said Smakici.

As a reminder, Usyk and Fury were supposed to fight on February 17, but due to an autopsy, the fight was postponed to May 18. The day before, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) made a statement about the rematch between the Ukrainian and the Briton. In turn, promoter Eddie Hearn informed that, according to the organizers of boxing nights in Saudi Arabia, the winner of the Usyk-Fury fight on May 18 will fight the strongest in the confrontation between Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs) and Francis Ngannou (0-, 0 KOs).
