"He complained before": Fury's promoter accused Usyk of whining

Warren spoke about Fury's fight with Usyk

British promoter Frank Warren made a ridiculous accusation against Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs). The representative of Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs), whom the Ukrainian will fight on May 18 for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion, accused our compatriot of allegedly simulating dirty punches from his opponents.

Warren said this in an interview with Sky Sports. The promoter of the Gypsy King, as the Briton is called, expressed confidence that Usyk is very bad at dealing with body blows, and therefore, as he did in the fight against Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs), he is trying to influence the referee to break the fight.

"Usyk used to complain and whine when he got hit in the body. Now he has to fight a guy who knows how to exploit any weakness. Usyk often does that, he whines in front of the referee. He's already had problems with punches to the body. This will happen until the referee demonstrates his authority. Now I'm even more confident in Tyson than I was before Usyk's fight with Dubois," Warren said.

The fight between Usyk and Fury was originally scheduled for February 17, but the Gypsy King suffered a cut during sparring two weeks before the show. Tyson apologized for his injury, and a video of the incident was posted online.

The Briton also made a statement about his retirement. The main reasons why Fury will not be able to refuse to fight the Ukrainian again were mentioned.

When asked about the fake nature of the injury, Usyk criticized the Gypsy King. In addition, the fans reacted angrily to the situation.

The incident was also commented on by Croatian boxer Agron Smakic (20-2, 18 KOs), who dealt Fury the ill-fated blow. But ex-champion Carl Froch called the British fighter's injury suspicious.

Bookmakers reacted unexpectedly to the postponement of the Usyk-Fury fight, changing one of the quotes on its outcome. Two conditions were also revealed that the Ukrainian demanded to fulfill when he agreed to postpone his return to the ring on February 17. In addition, the media announced Tyson and Alexander's fees for the show.
