"He can box dirty": Ngannou's coach tells what he expects from Usyk-Fury fight, wishing the Briton victory
World Boxing Council (WBC) belt holder Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) will try to tie up Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) with dirty tricks. The Gypsy King, as the Briton is called, will probably use his physical advantage to pile on the Ukrainian.
This opinion was expressed by Francis Ngannou's (0-1, 0 KOs) trainer Dewey Cooper in an interview with the Daily Express. According to the Cameroonian fighter's mentor, he wants to see Tyson win the fight against the Ukrainian on February 17 so that his client can get a rematch with Fury, but he also noted Usyk's high level.
"Usyk is a very talented boxer, he's fast, he's experienced and he has an Olympic gold medal in his record. He's an experienced guy and he doesn't get tired. I think that by the end of the fight, Tyson will be able to box him dirty, clinch and turn this fight into a real slugfest that he can win. We hope that Tyson Fury wins just because we want to get a rematch for all the belts," Cooper said.
And in Saudi Arabia, a loud statement was made about the confrontation between the Ukrainian and the British on February 17. A month before the fight, Riyadh unveiled a special belt that would be awarded to the winner of the confrontation.
As OBOZ.UA previously reported, a scandalous detail of the Usyk-Fury show related to Russia has also become known. Promoter Eddie Hearn wished our compatriot a defeat. And the bookmakers stopped considering the Briton the obvious favorite of the fight.
