Famous heavyweights will fight on May 18
The owner of the World Boxing Council (WBC) belt, Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs), has once again made a formidable attack on Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) on the eve of the May 18 fight. The Briton called himself the king of boxing, promising to demonstrate this in the ring and teach the Ukrainian a lesson.
Fury made the statement on his Instagram page. The Gypsy King, as the Manchester native, who is undefeated in his professional career, is called, once again called Usyk a rabbit and promised to become the absolute world champion.
"I don't declare myself the king of kings, that's Jesus Christ. I declare myself the king of boxing. That's who I am. You'll realize it on May 18, you gap teeth rabbit. Absolutely," Fury wrote.
Initially, the fight between Oleksandr and Tyson was scheduled for February 17, but the Gypsy King was cut during a sparring session two weeks before the show. The Manchester native apologized for his injury, and a video of the incident was posted online.
The Briton also made a statement about retirement. He named the main reasons why Fury will not be able to refuse to fight the Ukrainian again.
When asked about the fake nature of the injury, Usyk criticized the Gypsy King. In addition, the fans reacted angrily to the situation.
