"Far from a fool": Russian Povietkin assessed the fight between Usik and Fury

Oleksandr ChekanovNews
Povietkin speaks about Usik and Fury fight

The owner of the World Boxing Council (WBC) belt, Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs), will look completely different in his fight against Oleksandr Usik (21-0, 14 KOs) than he did in his fight with Francis Ngannou (0-1, 0 KOs). The Gypsy King, as the Briton is called, will take the Ukrainian seriously and will not give him a gift like the Cameroonian.

This opinion was expressed by former world champion Oleksandr Povietkin in an interview with the "Ushataika" YouTube channel. The former Russian boxer noted that it is difficult for him to name a clear favorite in the confrontation between Usik and Fury, and noted the strength and skills of both opponents.

"Believe me, Fury is not a fool. He is a tough and uncomfortable boxer. And most importantly, he's a tough and resilient fighter. I also like Usik. He is a very good and strong boxer. But there will definitely be no gift for him. But I can't even name a favorite for this fight," Povietkin said.
