Lewis evaluated the fight between Fury and Usyk
Legendary British heavyweight Lennox Lewis called on experts and fans to objectively assess the chances of Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) in a fight against Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs). According to the last ever absolute world champion in the king's division, our compatriot is unfairly written off by many.
Lewis wrote about this on his page on the social network X, formerly known as Twitter, answering questions from fans. The winner of Vitali Klitschko's fight noted that it was difficult for him to make a definite prediction for the confrontation between Usyk and Fury, but the Briton looks like a favorite on paper.
"It's very difficult to say how the Usyk-Fury fight will go. I would have preferred Fury, but I think that even now Uchyk is still an extremely underrated boxer. That's why it will be interesting to see how Tyson is going to face him," Lewis said.
Earlier, Fury told us how many rounds he would defeat our compatriot. In addition, the Briton spoke about his cut, which prevented the fight from taking place on February 17.
He also admitted for the first time what the upcoming fight means to him. In his turn, Anthony Joshua shared his forecast for the Usyk-Fury fight and noted that he considers the Ukrainian's victory unfavorable for him.
As a reminder, the fight with Oleksandr was postponed to May 18 due to the British man's cut. The day before, the World Boxing Organization (WBO) made a statement about the rematch.
