Dynamo legend, who was attacked in Poland, was kicked out of the team
The head coach of Polish club "Zagłębie" Aleksander Hatskiewicz has resigned from his position, the press service of the Sosnowiec-based team reports. The legend of Dynamo Kyiv joined the club in January 2024. Under his leadership, "Zaglembe" played 6 matches, losing four times. Two more matches ended in a draw.
"Oleksandr Khatskevich has stopped working as a coach of "Zaglembe". The 50-year-old native of Minsk left the club along with sporting director Mikhail Zalevsky and analytical coach Vladimir Arzhanov. The contracts with all three of them, to whom we wish success in their future professional activities, have been terminated," the statement said.
Marek Saganowski is the new coach, who has signed a contract until the end of June 2025 with an option to extend for one year.
"Zagłębie" Sosnowiec is in last, 18th place in the Polish First League. The team has 13 points in 25 matches.
As OBOZ.UA reported earlier, Polish media reported that the former Dynamo player and coach had been hit in the face.
According to Hatskevich, several dozen people broke into the training session after the defeat by Katowice, but there was no physical violence.
