The International Boxing Federation (IBF) heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) has inflicted a sensational defeat on the former titleholder Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs). The fight for the belt previously owned by Oleksandr Usyk ended in the 5th round.
The favorite from the first round had to survive in the ring. Joshua was knocked down in the first three minutes.
The same thing happened in the third round.
In the fifth, Anthony almost turned the tide of the fight, but got carried away with the attack and missed a heavy counter straight that knocked him out cold.
As OBOZ.UA reported, both Joshua and Dubois lost to Oleksandr Usyk at different times.
The first Joshua-Usyk fight on September 26, 2021, ended with Oleksandr's victory by unanimous decision. A year later , the Ukrainian world champion according to the World Boxing Organization (WBO), World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Federation (IBF) defended his titles in a rematch with Anthony.
A year later , Usyk defeated Du Bois despite the British heavyweight's sneaky kick between the legs.
