"Burned out in the hospital in a week". Friends of Sergei Syvokho told about unknown and unexpected pages from his life

Yesterday, on November 3, Kyiv said goodbye to the actor, one of the coaches of the League of Laughter, Serhiy Syvokh. The farewell took place in the capital's Zhovtnevyi Palace, where the actor's family and friends came to pay their respects.

In a conversation with OBOZ.UA, those present told a lot about his family - his wife and mother. This side of Syvokho's life had always been closed to the public.

"I remember meeting him very clearly," says Maryna Myrhorodska, former director of Ukraina TV channel. - "Ukraina TV channel started as a regional studio called Doka TV. It was there that tall, inspired, very young Sergey came to work. He made his programs so easily - I was always amazed at this. It was then that I met Tetiana."

"I think they are a perfect couple. By today's standards, it's even a little bit weird that people can be together for so long. Looking at them, you can see that they are different, but at the same time incredibly suitable for each other. He led her through life so gently, hand in hand. In a good way, you envy such a relationship - this is how it should ideally be. He had good taste: I remember when he went on tour to Israel and brought back a very beautiful outfit for Tatiana. I wondered how a man could pick it out without trying it on, not knowing the size," she adds.

"He was never arrogant, excessive, even though he was a big star in his time," Maryna Myrhorodska continues, "The last time we saw each other was at a colleague's funeral, and he was already walking with a cane. I could see that he had lost a lot of weight, but he was positive and believed that he would overcome it all. No one would have thought that at 54 years old, with the level of modern medicine... Tetiana told me today that he came to Germany just for a consultation. And he died in the hospital in a week."

"A couple of weeks before he died, I called him and said: "Nina Matvienko is not feeling well, can you recommend any doctors?" recalls TV presenter Anna Svyrydova. I passed on this information. As for himself he said  as always: everything is fine. I didn't even feel in his voice that maybe there was something wrong with his health. I knew, like everyone else, that he had been ill for many years. It was all happening right in front of our eyes. His wife Tania is a very strong woman. Thanks to her, he has survived for so many years. They have a very strong family. She was behind him like a stone wall, and he was behind her. Serhiy was a very cool friend - this is probably the feature of him that stood out to me during the years we worked together. He was a guest star on Friday Radio, and he was brilliant in his broadcasts. Behind the scenes, he always treated everyone in the team well, congratulated them on their birthdays, and came to visit us just for fun."

"Serhii was a very bright person, like a big kind bubble," says TV presenter Oleksiy Sukhanov. "A few years ago, I bought myself a top hat and came to his show in it. And he liked this headdress so much that he had to order one for me too. I found out the size and delivered it. He called me the same evening and told me how excited he was about it, like a child. He was like that in terms of his perception of the world and his attitude to it. He loved life very much. We never talked about politics, because I hate politics in general. But he was an incredible person, so I couldn't help but come today."

"I met Serhii's wife only today," adds Sukhanov, "but watching him, I can  say only  one thing: they were inspired by love and cherished it. They treated each other very tenderly."

"He loved his mother very much, he respected her incredibly," says TV presenter Andriy Bednyakov. "No matter where we went together, he always came home with gifts. His mother was the most important person in the world to him. He not only taught me, but once again showed me an example (which is very right) that parents are number one for you. He always called his mom wherever he was. He obeyed her, even when he was very old. If his mom would say to him: "Serhii, put on your hat," he would have put it on and reported back."

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that Serhii Syvokho's mother and wife explained why they decided to bury him in Donetsk.
