"A lot of noise was made by my behavior": Usyk recorded a new message about his arrest in Krakow. Video
Oleksandr Usyk, the unified heavyweight champion, recorded a video message to his fans in which he spoke again about his recent detention in Krakow, Poland. The 37-year-old boxer read out ironic poems for all his fans and detractors.
Usyk posted the video on his Instagram page. Our compatriot noted that he had heard an incredible amount of nonsense about himself, and also thanked everyone who followed the incident and worried about him and his friends.
Oleksandr read out the following lines:
"In a verse
I want to tell you some information,
Why I was detained.
But it just happens.
I made a lot of noise
With my behavior,
And a lot of people have said
That I was with a bottle.
They began to compare,
And some condemned
And someone supported,
Sitting on the couch.
Gratitude to one and all
For the warmth and the garbage,
I will continue on my way,
I won't shave my mustache.
I look at the world
With gratitude to God.
I wish everyone in life
To find their way.
I'm neither a hero nor an asshole,
But somewhere in between,
I wish each of you
To find a human being in yourself."
As a reminder, Usyk was detained at the Krakow airport on the evening of September 17. Polish authorities accused Oleksandr and his friend of inappropriate behavior. In his turn, Usyk's promoter Oleksandr Krasiuk published all the details of Usyk's arrest, refuting the version of the Krakow border guards.
The incident itself made social media explode with memes. And Polish promoter Andrzej Wasilewski called the situation with the arrest of our boxer shameful for Poland.
