Surkis speaks out about Tsygankov

Dynamo Kyiv is hoping that Spanish side Girona will be able to sell Ukrainian international Viktor Tsygankov at a favourable price. The capital club is to receive half of the sum from the upcoming transfer of the former team player, who successfully started his career with the Catalans.

This was stated by Dynamo president Ihor Surkis in an interview with PROFUTBOL Digital. According to him, he was not very upset that Tsygankov left his home team for just five million euros. At the same time, the White and Blues boss noted that the player was probably influenced by agents.

"We didn't lose much financially. If Tsygankov plays well, he will be sold to a top club. We have 50% of the resale rights. In Girona, he is in full view every week, experts and fans see what he is worth. So this could be an even bigger transfer than we would have sold him from Dynamo Kyiv. I want to note that there were no offers for Tsygankov before this winter window. They agreed with Girona. Somewhere the agents and his dad influenced him. We got less than we wanted, but that's okay. We will wait and be patient. I want him to reach a higher level and be sold. If not, then this is his fate and this is his price," Surkis said.

Recall that the Ukrainian midfielder joined Girona in January. During this time, he played eight matches for the Catalans, in which he scored three goals and provided three assists.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Ihor Surkis told which player he would like to return to Dynamo. The president of Kyiv also named a player whose parents forbade him to join the Ukrainian club.
