Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (25-3, 22 KOs) broke a streak of two consecutive defeats against Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. The 33-year-old British boxer defeated Jermaine Franklin (21-2, 14 KOs) from the United States on points at a boxing night in London. The fight, which was Anthony's first non-title fight since 2015, ended in a unanimous decision: 118-110, 117-111, 117-111.

The fight itself was very sparse on highlights and barely resembled a meeting between two famous boxers. Both athletes showed a rather sluggish pace, spending a lot of time in the clinch. With each subsequent round, there was more and more wrestling and less boxing in the ring.

The former champion had a chance to knock his opponent out in the final three minutes, but failed to develop a successful attack.

The best part of the fight started after the final bell, when Joshua slapped Franklin on the back of the head. After that, there was a scuffle, but it was just as uneventful as the fight itself.

After the victory, Joshua challenged Tyson Fury, saying that he would be honoured to fight for the WBC world title

It is worth noting that after losing to Usyk for the second time, Joshua also committed a rude act. After the judge's decision was announced, Anthony lost his nerve and threw his WBA and The Ring belts out of the ring.

After the fight, Anthony wanted to leave the arena immediately, getting into a fight with his teammates and a skirmish with the fans.
