The president thanked for the protection of the state border

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the Volyn region on Wednesday, April 19. As part of his visit, he met with servicemen of the State Border Guard Service on the border with Belarus and Poland, and heard reports on the situation in the region.

"I am honored to be here today to thank our border guards for protecting the state border. For the protection of our state in Bakhmut. I know how strong you stood there, held Bakhmut," the head of state said.

He added that Ukrainians are proud of such strong border guards.

"Keep the strength, justice and fierceness that we have when defending our state. Only Victory to all!" - the president wished.

Zelenskyy also said that he held a meeting in Volyn region, during which he heard reports on the situation in the area of responsibility of the operational grouping of troops "Volyn" and the readiness of units to carry out tasks, as well as on measures to strengthen the border in the region.

According to him, during the meeting the socio-economic and current security situation in Volyn, the construction of fortifications and defense engineering structures, construction and protection of the border were discussed.
