Fury's team announced when the fight with Usyk is planned
British boxer Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs) and Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk (20-0, 13 KOs) may still fight for the title of absolute world champion at the end of this year. Both boxers are due to return to the ring in the summer to defend their championship belts, and if they win, they will determine the winner of all the titles in the heavyweight division.
The promoter of the Gypsy King, as the Manchester native is known, Bob Arum, told Cornerman Boxing in an interview with YouTube channel. He noted that he wants to organise a fight between Fury and former world champion Andy Ruiz (35-2, 22 KOs), while Usyk is obliged to defend his belts against the British Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs).
"Tyson Fury was on holiday with his family in Italy. Now he's back in England. We are in touch with him. We are looking for the best opportunity for him, looking for an opponent for him to fight in the summer here in the UK. Maybe it'll be Andy Ruiz, maybe it'll be someone else. I hope Tyson succeeds and Usyk beats Dubois. And then these two guys will meet in November or December in Saudi Arabia. And we will have a single heavyweight champion," Arum said.
Recall: Fury and Usyk wanted to fight on April 29, but could not agree on a contract for the fight. Bob Arum told how much the Ukrainian would have earned for the fight on April 29. Our compatriot decided to leave his training camp after the news of the disruption of the fight with the Briton and returned to Ukraine.
The promoter of the Ukrainian Oleksandr Krasiuk made an unexpected statement about Fury. Our champion himself declared that his fight against the Briton will definitely take place.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, it became known what Tyson Fury really wanted from Oleksandr Usyk. In addition, the Ukrainian published a photo in a cassock and left a short message on Instagram.
