"Bakhmut is Ukraine": Zelenskyy reacts to Prigozhin's loud statement about the city's 'seizure'
The Office of the President of Ukraine responded to the statement by the owner of the Wagner PMC, Yevheny Prygozhyn, about the alleged "legal" capture of Bakhmut. They called for a calm response to fakes.
The head of the OP, Andriy Yermak, made a statement. He stressed that Bakhmut is Ukraine.
"Calmly respond to the fakes of those who invent a 'victory' that does not exist in reality," Yermak added.

The spokesperson for the Eastern Group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Cherevaty, also denied Prigozhin's words and said that the Russians were far from it. At the same time, he confirmed that the fighting took place near the city administration building.
"Bakhmut is Ukrainian, and they have not captured anything and are, to put it mildly, very far from it," he told The Guardian.
On 2 April, the leader of the Wagner mercenaries, Prigozhin, once again announced the "capture" of Bakhmut. According to him, the mercenaries "legally" took the city, and Ukrainian forces are concentrated in the western districts.
The morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine states that fierce fighting continues for Bakhmut. Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 20 attacks there over the past day. Avdiivka and Maryinka also remain at the epicentre of the fighting.
