"33 days of occupation, more than 1400 deaths": Zelenskyy recalled the crimes of the occupiers in Bucha and declared the inevitable punishment of the invaders. Video.

On the anniversary of the liberation of Bucha in the Kyiv region from the Russian occupiers, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reminded the world of the war crimes committed by the aggressor state's army. The town has become a symbol of the atrocities committed by Putin's troops.

The Head of State posted the video on Telegram. He noted that the occupation of the town lasted 33 days. During this time, Russians brutally killed 1400 civilian Ukrainians, including 37 children.

"More than 175 people were found in mass graves and torture chambers. 9000 Russian war crimes," the President added.

He noted that it has been 365 days since Bucha became a free Ukrainian city again.

"A symbol of the atrocities of the army of the occupying country. We will never forgive. We will punish all those responsible," Zelenskyy stressed.

These days Ukraine marks the first anniversary of the liberation of the Kyiv region from Russian occupation. On March 28, 2022, the city of Irpin was liberated, on March 31 - Bucha, on April 1 - Gostomel, and on April 2, the entire territory of the Kyiv region was de-occupied.

The Russians left particularly terrible traces in the town of Bucha, just 33 km from Kyiv. OBOZREVATEL recalled how it happened.
