What to add to stewed potatoes to make them delicious: perfect for dinner
In addition to the usual mashed and cuntry-style potatoes, there are other ways to cook potatoes deliciously. For example, they can be stewed with meat and mushrooms. Affordable ingredients and a minimum of time and effort: it's enough to make a hearty dinner.
Food blogger Polina (polli_cookin) shared a recipe for stewed potatoes with meat and mushrooms on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- chicken thighs - 4 pcs
- potatoes - 4-5 pcs
- carrot - 1 pc
- onion - 2 pcs
- mushrooms - 400 g
- sunflower oil
- smoked paprika
- salt, pepper
- water
Method of preparation:
1. Cut onions and carrots into half rings. Fry in a saucepan until golden brown.
2. Chop mushrooms and add to the vegetables. Fry for 10 minutes. Add salt and pepper.
3. Cut meat. Add to the pan and sprinkle with smoked paprika. Mix well and cook for another 10 minutes.
4. Cut and add potatoes. Cover with hot water. The water should cover the vegetables and meat well. Cook under the lid over medium heat for about 1 hour.
