Tres Leches dessert in a glass: a Colombian delicacy that will perfectly suit the Easter table

For many years, one of the most popular desserts has been Tres Leches. This dessert came to us from distant Colombia, but it became so popular that housewives began to interpret it to suit their own tastes.

Food blogger Olha Ryabenko shared the recipe for this interpreted Tres Leches dessert. Together with her partner Liza Glinska, she showed on Instagram how to make the Tres Leches dessert in a glass.

Ingredients for the sponge cake

  • Eggs - 4 pcs.
  • Sugar - 120 g
  • Flour - 120 g
  • Baking powder - 5 g
  • Orange zest - 1 pc.

Ingredients for the soaking

  • Milk - 200 ml
  • Coconut milk - 200 ml
  • Condensed boiled milk - 150 g

Ingredients for the cream

  • Cream 30% - 300 ml
  • Mascarpone - 150 g
  • Powdered sugar - 25 g
  • Coconut flakes for decoration

How to prepare

1.First, prepare the sponge cake. Beat eggs, sugar and zest in a food processor or blender for 7 minutes.

2. Mix the flour with the baking powder, stir with a spatula and gently fold into the egg mixture.

3. Put the dough into a round mold 18 cm in diameter and bake in a preheated 165° oven for 35 minutes. Let cool and cut into 3×3 cm pieces.

4. Prepare the filling. Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan, put on the fire and bring to a homogeneous mass. Pour into a bowl and let cool.

5. Prepare the cream. Whip the cream and mascarpone until stiff peaks form.

6. Assemble the dessert. Soak the sponge cake pieces.

7. Put the dessert into glasses or jars alternating between sponge cake and cream.

8. Decorate the top with cream and pre-fried coconut flakes.
