Hearty stewed potatoes for lunch or dinner: a recipe with meat

In addition to the usual mashed potatoes and roasted potato wedges, there are other ways to prepare potatoes in a delicious way. One of them is stewed potatoes, which can be made with meat, mushrooms and vegetables.
Food blogger Oksana Bilinska, known as oxana_bil, shared a recipe for stewed potatoes with meat on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- potatoes - 1 kg
- chicken fillet - 2 pcs
- onion - 1 pc
- carrots - 1 pc
- garlic - 3-4 cloves
- water - 500-700 ml
- tomato paste - 1 tbsp
- salt, pepper
- bay leaves
- black peppercorns and allspice
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the potatoes into cubes, onion into half rings, grate the carrots, chop the garlic through a press.
2. Cut the fillet into cubes. Season with salt and pepper.
3. First fry the meat in a saucepan, then add the onion and fry for 5-7 minutes.
4. Add the carrots and cook for another 5 minutes.
5. Add the garlic and potatoes.
6. Mix water with tomato paste and add salt. Pour the mixture over the potatoes.
7. At the same time, put 2 bay leaves, black and allspice on top. Cook under the lid until the potatoes are tender for about 35-40 minutes.
