Burek with cheese: what to cook for a snack from phyllo dough
Burek is a hearty large pie or mini-pies with a filling that can be made with meat, minced meat, vegetables, and various types of cheese. The dish is based on ready-made phyllo or puff pastry of high quality.
One of the culinary blogs(cook_with_me_at_home) on Instagram published a recipe for burek with cheese and herbs, which you can easily make from phyllo dough.
Ingredients:
- phyllo dough - 6 sheets
- feta cheese - 230 g
- mozzarella cheese - 180 g
- dill, parsley - 1/2 bunch each
- pepper
Method of preparation:
1. First, defrost the phyllo dough according to the instructions.
2. To prepare the filling, mash the cheese with a fork, grate the mozzarella, and chop the herbs.
3. Mix all the prepared ingredients together, add pepper. Mix well.
4. Cut a sheet of dough in half in the shape of a triangle. Put the filling on the wider side of the dough and wrap it in the form of a tube, the sides of which are tightly fixed.
5. Fry the tubes in a large amount of oil on both sides. It's ready!
