"Trump and Vance should be ashamed of themselves": world stars supported Zelenskyy after tense negotiations in the White House
On Friday, February 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with US President Donald Trump at the White House. The talks between the two leaders were held in a rather tense atmosphere, and at some point a dispute broke out between them. World stars did not stay away from the events in Washington, so they took to social media to express their support for the Ukrainian guarantor.
The celebrities admitted that they saw Zelenskyy as a leader with courage and strong character. Some celebrities commented quite sharply on the activities of Trump and his Vice President J.D. Vance, noting that politicians should be ashamed of their behavior.
American writer Joe Gill created a post on Threads where he wrote: "I am sickened – but not shocked – by today's scene in the Oval Office. Trump and Vance despise Zelenskyy: he has the nerve, character, and courage to stand up to Putin, and they don't. A man who adheres to his principles will always be incomprehensible to people who don't have any."
The author's opinion was supported by his father, the "King of Horror" Stephen King: "Trump and Vance should be ashamed of themselves, but bullies don't "do" shame."
Ben Stiller, the star of the adventure comedy "Night at the Museum," succinctly supported Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the entire Ukrainian people. He posted a yellow and blue flag on his personal account on X.
One of the most popular British actors, Michael Caine, also commented on the events in the White House quite sharply. Although the star was not too verbose, he briefly expressed his emotions in a few words: "Trump, calm down."
The actress Elizabeth Banks did not stay away from the tense negotiations between the leader of Ukraine and the United States. On her Instagram, she posted a photo of a yellow and blue flag and wrote: "I support Ukraine."
Supernatural star Misha Collins said that while watching the talks in Washington, he noticed two "arrogant cowards" and a "courageous leader."
He got in touch with X and wrote: "I saw two pompous, traitorous cowards trying to force a courageous leader kiss their rings. So embarrassed for my country. Volodymyr Zelenskyy, we are thankful to you and all of Ukraine for standing up to these bullies."
Actress Piper Perabo wrote briefly on her Instagram: "Glory to Ukraine."
For his part, Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal posted a photo of a map of our homeland and succinctly noted: "Courage has a name – Ukraine."
Later, the actor also posted a photo of Zelenskyy, to which he added an apt caption: "Stay on the right side of history."
We would like to remind you that the conversation between the leaders of Ukraine and the United States in the White House was held in high tones, as a dispute broke out between Zelenskyy, Trump, and Vance. According to the president of our country, the reason for the quarrel was the incorrect statements of American politicians about the number of Ukrainians killed in the war and the lost territories.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that "The Vampire Diaries" star Kat Graham touchingly supported refugee children from Ukraine and showed them a dance she had learned with them.
