"This damn country..." Ada Rohovtseva's colleague told what the legendary actress talks about backstage

Actress Nadiia Khilska ("The Call," "Ambulance," "Promise to God," "PTA") revealed the details of her conversations off set with legendary actress Ada Rohovtseva. The two actresses are starring together in the sequel to the popular TV series Coffee with Cardamom.

Nadiia Khilska told about this in an interview with OBOZ.UA. Ada Rohovtseva accepted the offer to star in the movie after a long break – she hadn't worked on the set for about three years.

Nadiia Khilska says that Ada Mykolaivna plays her closest relative in the series: "My family in the role is Oleksandr Kobzar, who plays my brother, and Ada Rohovtseva is my mother. We communicate a lot off-screen. She talks about her vast experience in cinema, and her life. She is very much in favor of Ukraine. She says that this damn country, I don't want to name it out loud, hasn't let us live for so many years! Ada Mykolaivna is incredible."

"I really wanted to play in a historical movie, I dreamed of such a role. My heroine is a very positive character, not a negative character, which I often play. I'm very happy – the actors are incredible, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the director is great," the actress adds.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that Ada Rohovtseva categorically opposed possible negotiations with Russia on the war. She also concisely explained what national idea Ukrainians need to adhere to in order not to lose the state. People have been saying these words almost every day for the past 2.5 years, but few people think about their true meaning. "Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes! Glory to the nation! Death to the enemies! Ukraine is above all!" the artist said.

Ada Rohovtseva is a legend of Ukrainian cinema and theater who, at the age of 87, is actively involved in the life of Ukraine. She has played more than 150 roles in theater, most memorably as Helena in the play Warsaw Melody. She started acting in movies at the age of 18 and has over 100 film roles.
