Ada Rogovtseva
Place of birth, education. Born in Glukhov, Sumy region. In 1959 graduated from the Kiev Institute of Theatrical Art named after I. Karpenko-Kargo.
Career. For 35 years (since 1959) worked at the National Academic Theater of Russian Drama named after L.Ukrainka (Kiev). Acted in films of Dovzhenko, Mosfilm, Lenfilm, Gorky, Odessa Film Studio, on Ukrainian and Russian TV. Participated in radio performances.
After leaving the L.Ukrainka Theatre she toured with concert programs and chamber theaters.
Among the pearls of Rogovtseva's creative work are theater roles of Gelena ("Warsaw Melody"), Lesya Ukrainka ("Spodivatisya"), Paola ("The Lady without Camellias"), Ranevskaya ("The Cherry Orchard"), Esther ("Sacred Monsters").
She starred in the films "Salute, Maria", "Taming of the Fire", "Eternal Call", "Autumn Story" and many others.
A.Rogovtseva is a professor, lecturer of the department of announcers and TV program presenters at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. She teaches at the Kyiv Institute of Theatrical Art named after I. Karpenko-Karoly.
Author of the collection of poetry "Mama's Prayers", biographical book "My Kostya".

Regalia. People's Artist of the USSR (1978). People's Artist of Ukraine. Winner of the State Prize of Ukraine named after T.Shevchenko, prize of the Union of Theater Workers named after M.Zankovetska, prize "Kyiv Pectoral" (twice). Winner of the All-Ukrainian program "Leaders of Regions" (2002). Honorary Citizen of Kyiv (2007).
Hero of Ukraine (2007). Awarded the Order of Merit, III degree, the Order of Princess Olga, III degree.
Family. She was married to the famous actor Konstantin Stepankov (died in 2004). The couple raised a daughter Ekaterina (works in Moscow at the Roman Viktyuk Theater) and a son Konstantin (an employee of the International Academy of Ecology).
