Zaluzhnyi is a man of his word: Ada Rohovtseva shares interesting facts about the "Iron General"
Famous Ukrainian actress Ada Rohovtseva shared her memories of meeting and communicating with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi. The legend of Ukrainian theater and cinema does not hide her admiration for the experience, path, decisions and heroism of the "Iron General".
In particular, the People's Artist recalled that it was due to the efforts of the Commander-in-Chief that the legendary commander of the 1st Assault Company, Dmytro Kotsiubailo, known by his call sign Da Vinci, was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine even before his unit joined the Armed Forces. Ada shared her thoughts about Zaluzhnyi, as well as a photo with him, on her personal Instagram page.
"I am grateful to fate for giving me personal communication with Valerii Zaluzhnyi before his name became familiar to every Ukrainian and known all over the world. And the first thing I learned about Valerii is that he is a man of his word," the actress began her story.
The 86-year-old star admitted that she will always remember the general's meeting with the then living Da Vinci on the stage of the October Palace when Valerii personally came to congratulate him and pin the Golden Star of the Hero on Dmytro's tunic.
"This award, on the eve of the invasion in December '21, gave inspiration to all volunteers as they felt the army's respect for the volunteer movement... Among my friends who joined the army in 2014, there are those who had to serve in units commanded by Valerii. From their stories, I was convinced of what I saw myself: highly educated, professional, humane, courageous, completely devoted to the military cause, loyal to Ukraine. Zaluzhnyi became the personification of his army and his time," Rohovtseva said.
Ada also emphasized the knowledge and experience of the Commander-in-Chief, saying that he has all the degrees of military education behind him, "all with honors." The artist does not rule out that life was preparing Zaluzhnyi for the fact that it was under his command that the Ukrainian army finally gave a powerful rebuff to the Russian invader.
"All levels of military service - from cadet to commander-in-chief - have added invaluable experience. He is engaged in his life's work and has achieved world recognition in it, stopping the Russian army, as if fate itself was preparing him to save Ukraine in times of the most difficult trials. We are lucky to have Zaluzhnyi at the head of the army at this historic time. The general's unquestioned authority among the military is one of the pillars of our resistance and resilience," the actress summarized.
