After being hospitalized, 87-year-old Ada Rogovtseva addressed Ukrainians: don't bring me flowers – donate instead!

Ukrainian theater and film actress Ada Rogovtseva, who was recently hospitalized, took to the Internet for the first time since her hospitalization. The 87-year-old actress talked about the bloody war in her homeland and asked her fans to spend money not on buying flowers for her, but on helping the defenders.

The post was posted on the celebrity's Facebook page. She noted that during her long career, she has performed on stage in many cities of Ukraine, so most of the audience has become her family.

"It was God's will that my professional life lasted for almost 70 years. I started acting in movies in my first year of college and started traveling around Ukraine at the same time. For 70 years, all, almost all cities of Ukraine have become my home, each connected with a certain part of my life, lived in it, with a certain stage of personal and professional development. And when you return to the same cities every year with performances, addressing audiences in fifty and a thousand halls, then people become dear to you over the years of touring," the celebrity wrote.

According to Ada Rogovtseva, when she learns about explosions in any city in our country, her heart "breaks." However, as the actress noted, despairing, even during terrible events, is not the best choice. The star is ready to go on stage again and again and play for her beloved audience. She made a special appeal to Ukrainians.

"I can also ask you once again, friends, not to bring flowers to the stage! The flowers will wilt. The money that you will use to buy a moment of joy for me can serve for our greater joy! Let the flowers sprout with revenge for our cities! Let them help our army take revenge! I'm happy that the Conservatory no longer has tickets for both November performances of "It Looks Like Happiness." Let there be no flowers at the bow! Let there be donations!" the celebrity said.

On November 14, Ada Rogovtseva's daughter reported that the actress was hospitalized. Probably, the celebrity's illness was related to her heart, as she was treated at the Heart Center. Then the star had to cancel two performances and miss the Land of Poets poetry festival, which she was very upset about. However, Ada Rogovtseva was able to recover quickly and returned to the stage immediately after her recovery.
