The actor managed to call the police

The luxurious mansion of British actor Benedict Cumberbatch, which is located in London, was broken into by an unknown man, threatening his family with a knife. The intruder climbed over the iron gate, snapped the intercom, destroyed trees on the estate and shouted threats. At the time, the artist was at home with his wife Sophie Hunter and three young sons.

According to the Daily Mail, Benedict called the police, but the man fled the scene. Law enforcement authorities were able to identify him through DNA. They later said the attacker was former chef at the five-star Beaumont Hotel Jack Bissell.

"Naturally, the whole family was terrified and thought this guy was going to hurt them. The fact that it was a targeted invasion makes it even more frightening. He yelled: "I know you moved in here, I hope it (the house, - ed.) burns down," said a source close to the actor's family.

Before breaking into the star's house, 35-year-old Jack Bissell bought up at a nearby store and told the clerk that he was going to burn down Cumberbatch's estate, which, by the way, is worth £3.5 million. The attacker could not explain to the police why he had targeted Benedict.

He paid a fine of £250 and was banned for three years from approaching the artist's family and his mansion. Jack has previously been prosecuted for various crimes. The Briton has a criminal record for theft and disorderly conduct.

As OBOZREVATEL recently wrote, the former member of the British band Pink Floyd Roger Waters, who went on stage in Berlin in a costume resembling the uniform of a Nazi officer, was accused of inciting hatred. According to police, the musician's outfit could glorify and justify the violent and arbitrary rule of the Nazi regime.
